A Party for Murder is the first play where I was able to start stretching myself a little on WST. Breaking and Entering may have been my favorite, as my character was full of sass and kept everyone guessing even after the curtains dropped.
It was such an amazing experience to direct the cast of Always A Bridesmaid....
How does a person pick just one?

I helped with the spring show haul in 1995, and I have been involved since. I have been the tech director for 9 of the last 18 shows (2016-2021). Prior to that, I was the tech director for all shows (2000-2015). I've lost count, but I know it is more than 60. I have been on the board for 15+ years. I was president for 7 of those years.

I am also proud to have been awarded the Hall of Fame Award for service to the organization.

My dad, Charles Cran, was a founding member of WST and my sisters, dad and I have all been in plays through the years. My all-time favorite WST production is Man of LaMancha. I watched it 5 times. I also saw it in the cities starring Robert Goulet, but I preferred Joe Olson for the role by far. I look forward to reading plays to make suggestions for our area - especially local and regional playwrights.

I have been involved with WST on and off since 1981 and the “Sound of Music. I’m not sure about how long being on the board. I believe when I started ,it was close to the turn of the century with a few years off for bad behavior.

My favorites: Comedy:String, Drama:The Diviners, Classical Musical:Man of La Mancha, Operetta: Pirates of Penzance and of course, our “greatest come from behind victorious and glorious musical that never had a chance of making it to the stage”: Tarzan, Show I like to do: West Side Story
